Psychometric Test - Psychological Evaluation

A psychometric test or psychological evaluation, as it is typically known for, is an assessment tool designed to measure various psychological attributes, such as cognitive abilities, emotional functioning, personality traits, and academic skills. These tests are used to understand a strengths and weaknesses, guide educational planning, and identify any psychological or developmental issues that may require intervention.

Some common types of psychometric tests include:

  1. Intelligence Tests:

    • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC): Measures general cognitive ability in children aged 6 to 16.

    • Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales: Assesses cognitive abilities across a broad age range.

  2. Achievement Tests:

    • Woodcock-Johnson Tests of Achievement: Evaluates academic skills such as reading, mathematics, and written language.
